Louie David Goza was born on December 12, 1938 in Calera, Oklahoma to Louie G. Goza and Freeda Turner Goza and passed from this life on Monday, July 4, 2011, in Grove, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 4 days.
Louie attended and graduated from Calera High School. He was member of the 1956 State Championship Basketball Team at Calera and was a talented musician.
After high school he proudly served his country in the United States Army until his Honorable Discharge.
He worked as a car salesman for many years until his retirement and moved to Grove, Oklahoma to be close to his children.
He enjoyed playing the guitar, spending time with friends and later in life he enjoyed game shows.
Louie is survived by his children, Gerald Goza and wife Gail of Independence, Missouri, Dewayne Goza and wife Tanya of Monkey Island, Oklahoma, Belinda Goza of Siloam Springs, Oklahoma and Bradley Goza of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Glen Goza and wife Martha of Calera, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends.
Louie was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Tunney, Charles Edward and Harold Goza.
Services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Brad Hollman, Ken Pinney and James Moss will officiate.
Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with the members of the 1956 State Championship Basketball Team serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
