Cora Lee Gaither was born on Tuesday, March 26, 1931 in, Armstrong, Oklahoma to William J. and Nora (Newton) Elliott. She passed away on Friday, January 16, 2009 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 20 days. Cora married R B Gaither on July 20, 1949 in Sherman, Texas.
Mrs. Gaither was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed riding horses when she was younger, listening to music and taking care of her family.
Her Survivors Include, Husband, R B Gaither of the home, Sons, James R B Gaither of Durant, Oklahoma, Billy Gaither of Honey Grove, Texas, Doyle Gaither of Greenville, Texas, Tommy Gaither of Kaufman, Texas, Danny Gaither of Edgewood, Texas, Daughter, Janie Bell of Durant, Oklahoma. 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Mrs. Gaither was preceded in death by her Parents, William J. and Nora Elliott.
Graveside services will be Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Bro. Kerry Groce
