Jesse W. Diehl passed away in Cartwright, Oklahoma on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the age of 70 years 5 months and 11 days. He was born in Latimer County near Wilburton, Oklahoma on Friday, February 25, 1944 to Fred Jesse Wilson and Wanda May Ary then adopted by Walter Ray and Ellis (Merritt) Diehl who lovingly accepted him into their lives and raised him as their own son. Jesse married Sharon Annette Singleton in Bonham, Texas on Friday, June 26, 1987.
Jesse was the owner of Dieco Construction. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, fixing things and was a avid reader. Jesse liked to pester his grandchildren. He loved to hang out at the Red River Bottom with his buddies.
Mr. Diehl is survived by his wife Sharon of the home; daughters, Angie Styles and husband Mike of Cartwright, Oklahoma, Ladonne Bourbeau and husband Charlie of Calera, Oklahoma, Nicole Reece and husband Phillip of Denison, Texas and J.J. Diehl of Cartwright, Oklahoma; sons, Casey Alexander and wife Christina of Pottsboro, Texas and Philip Alexander and wife Lisa of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren, Charlsie Grace and husband Cody of Dallas, Texas, Elyssa McLean of Cartwright, Oklahoma, Joshua and Micaiah Bourbeau of Calera, Oklahoma, Layla and Ellisyn Alexander of Sherman, Texas, Cara, Mickayla and Blake Alexander of Pottsboro, Texas and Carrie, Sara and Nicholas Clark of Cartwright, Oklahoma; siblings, Mildred Wilson Mosley, Wanda Wilson Colton, Steven Nelson, Susan Estep and Daryl Wilson.
Mr. Diehl was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ellis Diehl; first wife, Donell Miller; siblings, Nancy Posey Dailey and Tomazine Anson.
Family Hour will be from 6-7:00 PM Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel with Bro. James Singleton and Corey Prentice officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery Calera, Oklahoma. The pallbearers will be Mike Styles, Charlie Bourbeau, Casey Alexander, Philip Alexander, Corey Prentice and Kevin Singleton.
