Gina (Nelson) Cooper a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and resident of Kenefic, Oklahoma left this life in Durant on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the age of 59 years, 3 months, and 23 days. She was born in Midland, Texas on September 19, 1957 to Ed and Glynna (McFatridge) Nelson. Gina married her best friend, Bobby Cooper, in Durant, Oklahoma on March 29, 1980.

Gina loved being outside enjoying nature. She liked to go fishing, camping, and watching racing. Gina was a member of the Kenefic Baptist Church. Her most precious treasure in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband, Bobby of the home; son, Kenny Cooper and wife Sabrina of Kenefic, Oklahoma; daughter, Alisha Gray and husband Michael of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Gaylon Nelson and wife Darlene of Bloomfield, New Mexico; granddaughters, Andrea and Allee Cooper of Kenefic, Oklahoma; step-father, Edward Patterson of Durant, Oklahoma; nieces, April, Erica and Crystal; nephew, Keith; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Glynna Nelson; and brother, Glenn Nelson.

Family Hour will be from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant on Monday, January 16, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel with Bro. Royce Couch officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Stanford, Donald Stanford, John Miller, Justin Brown, Ron Dodd, Brad Day and Dustin Williams. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, Calera Oklahoma.
