Frances Lee Dewitt Clayton

Frances Lee Clayton, 76, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 30, 2021, in Denison, TX. Frances was born on August 28, 1945, in Atoka, Ok to Oscar and Jennie (Housewright) DeWitt. She graduated from Atoka High School and later married Ralph Clayton on April 25, 1964. They were united as one for 49 years until Ralphs’ passing on April 19, 2013. She worked as a caregiver, operator for SW Bell, but mostly worked in the manufacturing industry. Frances raised five kids with her husband Ralph. She loved spending time with her family, friends, attending Mead Baptist Church, and reading her Bible. Frances was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, church, and community.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph Clayton; son Myran Clayton; sisters Tiny Wattson, Floretta McDonald and Mary Lou Holmes and brother Richard DeWitt.

Frances is survived by four children Michael Clayton of Garland, TX, Mechelle Isaacs and husband James of Sidney, TX, Margaret Bohanon of Kaufman, TX and Marsha Whatley and husband Stacy of Richmond, KY, one brother Joe DeWitt of Mead, OK, one sister Wanda Burns of Corpus Christi, TX, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Mead Baptist Church with Bro. Kerry Groce officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Wapanucka, OK with James Isaacs, Jesse Harper, Charlie Sliger, Joedy Stopp, Stacy Whatley and Dan Sturm serving as pallbearers.
