Funeral services for Kourtney Lynn Brackett Cargal, 22, of Mannsville will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Chapel with Mickey Hensley officiating, assisted by Larry Boatwright.

Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore. Ms. Cargal passed away on Tuesday, June 17, at the Muskogee Regional Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Kourtney was born on February 27, 1986, in Denison, Texas, to Scott Brackett and Lorri Cooper Brackett.

She graduated from Ardmore High in 2004 and married Brent Cargal on February 17, 2007, in Mannsville, Oklahoma.

She began working at the Wal-Mart store in Ardmore at the age of 16 and worked there for five years. Afterward, she joined Galaxie Sign Company, the family business, in Ardmore.

She was preceded in death by her uncle, Larry Cooper in 2004; several grandfathers; her grandmother, Eritha Lynn and her "Bonus" Mom, Delma Dunham.

Kourtney is survived by her husband Brent, of the home; her parents: Lorri and Monty Boatright of Ardmore and Scott and Patty Brackett of Tishomingo; her sister, Kimberly Ford-Crelia and her husband Cody of Edmond; her brother, Kody Boatright of Ardmore; three grandmothers, Sue Springman and Marcell Boatright, both of Ardmore, and Cleta Joy Walker of Boswell; her in-laws, Chick and Patsy Cargal of Mannsville; aunts and uncles, Luann and David Killingsworth of Winnsboro, Texas, Roy and Katherin Cooper of Ardmore, Reba and Tom Criswell of Durant, Steve Brackett of Weatherford, Texas, Becky and Virgil Fowler of Meeker; and Carl Brackett of San Diego, California; numerous cousins, many friends and her pets, Princess, Trixie, Pixie, Angus, Dixie, Penny, Sam, Lucky, BG and Avery.

Pallbearers for the service will be Buddy Harris, Chris Hale, Craig Brackett, Brian Fowler, John Killingsworth and Mike Sadler. Honorary bearers will be Mike Pierce, Robert Parker, Kevin McCarty, John Robinson and all of the Dirt Track Racing family at L. C. S.

Donations may be made to the Kourtney Lynn Brackett Cargal Memorial Fund, in care of First Bank & Trust in Ardmore.

Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Service in Tishomingo.
