Services for Billy Ed Briscoe will be Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma, with the Rev Dan McLemore officiating. Internment will follow at the Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma.
Billy Ed Briscoe was born Tuesday, September 25, 1928 in Kaufman County, Texas to Ed and Mrytle (Adams) Briscoe. He passed from this life Sunday, September 20, 2009 in Calera, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years. Billy married Joy Halbrooks Houston on December 5, 1980 in Durant, Oklahoma. Mr. Briscoe was a member of the Baptist Faith. Billy graduated from Dallas High School in Dallas, Texas. He worked in the Garment Manufacture for almost 50 years and loved to work in his garden, fish and hunt.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Briscoe of Calera, Oklahoma, sons, Tommy Briscoe of Laramie, Wyoming, Johnny Briscoe & wife Gina of Paris, Texas and Ronny Briscoe & wife Pam of Paris, Texas. Daughter-In-Law, Mary Jane Briscoe of Odessa, Texas. Step-Son, Charles Houston & wife Nancy of Fernandia Beach, Florida and Noel Houston of Stringtown, Oklahoma. 8 Grandchildren 9 Great-Grandchildren.
Mr. Briscoe is preceded in death by his Parents, Ed & Mrytle Briscoe: 1st.Wife, Mary: Son: Larry Briscoe, Brothers, Clint & Lee Briscoe.
