Joyce Ann Gurley Bradford, a precious child of God passed from this earthly life in Forney, Texas on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 24 days. She was born in Roberta, Oklahoma to Alfred Vestor and Gladys Chappell on Wednesday, July 3, 1940.
Joyce was a very proud and devoted mother to her precious sons.
She was valedictorian of her senior graduating class at Blue High School in Blue, Oklahoma in 1957.
Joyce was the church secretary at the Edgemont Park Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas for many years.
Mrs. Bradford is survived by her beloved sons, Dave Suddreth and wife Christy of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Tim Suddreth of Hutchins, Texas and Steve Suddreth and wife Laurie of Cypress, Texas; sister, Jewell Anderson of Belton, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Suddreth and wife Heather of Dover, New Hampshire, Andrea Suddreth of Hanover, PA., Justin Suddreth of Knoxville, Tennennee, Kelly Winstead of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Matthew Suddreth of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Zachary Suddreth of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Stephanie Suddreth of Cypress, Texas and Kevin Suddreth of Cypress, Texas; great-grandchildren, Olivia Suddreth of Dover, New Hampshire, David Suddreth of Dover, New Hampshire and Jonathan Suddreth of Dover, New Hampshire; two nephews and a niece.
Mrs. Bradford was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred "Bill" Gurley and Gladys Chappell.
Family hour will be from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014, Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel at 121 N. 5th, Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Jesse West officiating.
Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery Calera, Oklahoma.
