Tonya Biggerstaff went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 4, 2019. She passed away peacefully at her home in Durant, Oklahoma at 50 years of age. She was born to Glendon Atwood and Edna (Buckner) Atwood on March 21, 1969 in Altus, Oklahoma. She married Stephen Biggerstaff on August 13, 1988 in Blair, Oklahoma.

Tonya was a pastor’s wife of New Life Assembly of God in Calera, Oklahoma. She enjoyed homeschooling her children, being a midwife assistant and a child birth educator. She loved spending time with her family.

Tonya is survived by her husband Stephen Biggerstaff of the home. Mother: Edna Atwood of Ada, Oklahoma. Daughters: Chris Beth, Anne, and Sarah. Sons: Stephen II, Justin, Andrew, Grayson, Joseph, Alton, John Brian, Benjamin all of Durant, Oklahoma. Brothers: Carl Atwood of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Gary Atwood of Colbert, Oklahoma. Sisters: Gayla Wilson of Ada, Oklahoma, and Tina Beal of Dawsonville, Georgia.

Tonya is preceded in death by her father, Glendon Atwood.

Family hour will be on Monday, April 8, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm at New Life Assembly of God in Calera, Oklahoma. A celebration of her life will be 2:00pm Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at New Life Assembly of God in Calera, Oklahoma with Rev. Stephen Biggerstaff and Rev. Weldon Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera, Oklahoma. Stephen, Justin, Andrew, Grayson, Alton, and Levi will be serving as pallbearers and John Brian and Benjamin serving as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, Tonya’s request was for donations to be made to The Gideons, P.O Box 576 Durant, Oklahoma 74702.

Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home www.holmescoffeymurray.com in Durant, Oklahoma.
