Mildred Leona Baker “Millie” was born on April 14, 1940 in Greer, South Carolina to William and Grace Brady. Millie passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at her daughter, Michelle’s home in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 79.
Millie grew up in Flint, Michigan and moved to Bryan County in 1965. She worked as Executive Director for Legal Shield where she earned many honors including her Platinum Jacket, Area Coordinator, Millionaire Club, $100.00 earner and 4,000 production award. She was the #2 top recruiter of the Moore team, #1 recruiter in the State of Oklahoma and the Harland Stonecipher award winner. She married Clarence “Bake” Baker on July 21, 1983 in Las Vegas, NV. She enjoyed retail therapy, floral arranging, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Millie is survived by her husband Clarence “Bake” Baker; son, Marcus Lynn Campbell; daughter, Michelle Campbell, step-son, Tony Baker; grandchildren, Melissa Mizell and husband Marcus, Leslie King and husband Travis, David Campbell, Lezlee Brook Ballew and fiancé Tyler Stinson, Micca Merritt and husband Jerr, Zane Ballew and step-grandchildren Tony Baker Jr. and wife Michele and Tara Hughes; brother, Jim Brady and wife Gayle; 14 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and dear friends.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Marcia Jean Campbell; sister, Wilma Sue Mullins and brothers, Billy Dean Brady and Alvin Eugene Brady.
“She was larger than life and shined bright like a diamond.”

Services to celebrate the wonderful life of Millie will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Abundant Life Texoma Church. Bro. Roger Speers will officiate. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera with Zane Ballew, Tyler Stinson, Travis King, Marcus Mizell, David Campbell and Aidan Cannon serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
