Vivian Louise Alexander

Vivian Louise Alexander, a loving and gentle soul, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2023, in Mead, Oklahoma. Born on August 31, 1934, in Durant, Oklahoma, Vivian's 89 years were filled with love, and a nurturing spirit that touched all who knew her. Vivian was the daughter of the late Les Pate and Francis Mandy (Blankenship) Pate. She graduated from Cobb High School in 1952.

In 1953, Vivian married the love of her life, AG Alexander. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in June 2023, a testament to their enduring love and commitment. Their union was a beacon of love and strength for their children and grandchildren. AG Alexander preceded her in death on July 7, 2023.

Vivian is survived by her loving daughter, Alicia MacEntire of Mead, Oklahoma, and her devoted son, David Alexander, and his wife, Donna, also of Mead, Oklahoma. She was a beloved grandmother to five grandchildren and a doting great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren. Vivian was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Pate.

Vivian had a love for life and family, which was reflected in her many interests and hobbies. She was a dedicated homemaker, creating a warm and inviting home filled with love and laughter. Vivian had a green thumb and found joy in gardening. Her talent for canning and cooking was legendary. Vivian was known to fill her home with the sound of her singing and guitar playing. She also enjoyed sewing for her home and family with precision and love. Her creativity was boundless, whether she was tending her garden, making music, or sewing. Vivian's gentle spirit and creative soul will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A graveside service to honor Vivian's life will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Rosehill Cemetery in Calera with Gary McLarry officiating. Her grandchildren will serve as her pallbearers.
