William Lee Stinson

William Lee Stinson, 80, of Blue, Oklahoma, passed from this life on July 22, 2025, in McKinney, Texas. He was born on October 18, 1944, in Blue, Oklahoma, to Thurman Stinson and Bernice Stinson (McManus).

William was a resident of Bryan County all his life. He attended and graduated from Blue Public School. William worked as a farmer and worked at the sawmill as an equipment operator and logger. He was proud of the work he did. William enjoyed watching westerns, fishing, and taking care of cattle with his son.

William is preceded in death by his parents; Thurman Stinson and Bernice Stinson, brothers; James Stinson, John Stinson, and Marion Stinson, sisters; Betty Malany and Dinah Thomas.

He is survived by his daughter; Dinah Stinson and spouse Tommy of Durant, Oklahoma, son; Michael Stinson and spouse Rhonda of Blue, Oklahoma, step-son; Arty Page and spouse Amanda of Blue, Oklahoma, step-daughter; Sherry Cross of Blue, Oklahoma, sister; MaryEllen Owens and spouse Richard of Stillwater, Oklahoma, grandson; William Sellers Jr of Durant, Oklahoma, granddaughter; Cortney Sellers of Durant, Oklahoma, granddaughter Crissie Sellers of Durant, Oklahoma, granddaughter; Michaelle Stinson of Durant, Oklahoma, granddaughter; Michaela Brewer and spouse Coby of Calera, Oklahoma, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for William will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Brown's Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Brown's Funeral Service with Amos Mick officiating.

Burial will take place following the service at Philadelphia Cemetery with Coby Brewer, Richard Nix, James Cross, William Smith, Arty Page, and Cassidy Balentine serving as pallbearers.
