Rita Houser was born February 28, 1944, at Post Oak, OK to Louise Franklin (Houser) and Benjamin Houser. She was the oldest of three daughters.
In March 1961 she married her high school sweetheart Harley Workman. He joined the military at 20 and they traveled the world. They had two children Keith and Tambra Workman. She worked at Choctaw Nation for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with friends and loved ones, teaching oil painting, and helping others. She passed away in her home after losing her battle with Alzheimers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Benjamin Houser, her sister, Hestella Houser Fox, her husband of 62 years, Harley Workman, her son, Keith Workman and numerous family and friends. She was survived by her daughter, Tambra Rounsaville, her granddaughter, Tabbetha Lee, and numerous friends and relatives.
