Elaine Taylor was born on October 11, 1934, in Durant, Oklahoma to parents Sweeny and Lillian (Williams) Carr. Elaine passed away at her home in Caddo at the age of 90. Elaine has been a lifelong resident of Bryan County, and she attended school at Liberty, Post Oak, Moore, and Maytubby. She married Junior Taylor on August 26, 1951, in Sherman, TX. Junior passed away on February 7, 2016, and they were blessed with 64 years together. Elaine attended the Caddo First Baptist Church and ran the church nursery. She loved to cook and eat, make candy, and spend time with her family and grandkids.
Elaine is preceded in death by her husband Junior Taylor parents Sweeny and Lillian Carr; son Dean Taylor; daughter in law Linda Taylor; son in law Mark Reeves and seven siblings.
Elaine is survived by her children Ronnie Taylor of Caddo and Lisa Reeves of Durant; grandchildren Holli Taylor, Carr Taylor, Taylor Reeves, and wife Callie, Seth Reeves and wife Sandi, and Emma Reeves and numerous extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Elaine's life will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday February 11, 2025, at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Holli Taylor, Carr Taylor, Emma Reeves, and Seth Reeves serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5-7 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
