Donna Sue Stilwell passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024, in Durant, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. She was born on September 24, 1941, in Blue, Oklahoma, to Harold Girly and Ima Lorene (Riley) Carter. She was a woman who dedicated her life to the care and comfort of her loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.
Throughout her life, Donna was a hardworking individual who took pride in her role as a custodian in the maintenance department at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She found joy in working, taking care of her home and family. She was recognized for her meticulous cleanliness and frequently joked, "that's the cleanest dirt you've ever seen!" This playful attitude towards her passion for cleanliness was one of the many endearing qualities that made Donna so special.
Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Tony Stilwell of Durant, Oklahoma, Kenneth Head and wife Diane of Washington, Jim Stilwell and wife Eva of Kingston, Oklahoma; her adored grandchildren, Jayson, Jakob, Jimmy, Jeremy, Jessica, Kyle, Chris, Leo, Anthony, Joshua, Kristian, Kevin, Kenneth, Brian, and Kacie; her brother, Jerry Carter; her stepsister, Paula Downs; and numerous great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ima Carter; her beloved husband, Jimmy Dale Stilwell; her daughter, Deborah Dillard; her son, Charles Head; and her brother, Charles Carter.
Family and friends will gather at her Family Hour on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on November 19, 2024, in the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jesse West officiating. Donna will be laid to rest in Pleasant Hill following her funeral service.
Those serving as pallbearers are Tony Stilwell, Kenneth Head, Jim Stilwell, and Jayson Stilwell.
