Danny Paul Robinson went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the age of 52 years and 4 days. He was born on Sunday, May 8, 1960 to Charles and Verda (Petty) Robinson. Danny lived all his life in Durant living in the same house since the age of 15 months.Danny was a graduate of Durant high school where he played the piano and was in the band. In the 7th grade he won a coronet solo. While in school he cleaned for Moore’s processing at night and helping customers before closing. Danny was a joker and loved to make people laugh. He was a company meat inspector and air knife handler for JC Potter’s Sausage.
Danny is survived by his; mother and step-father, Verda and Darrell Thornton of Durant, Oklahoma; step-brother, Charles Thornton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; step-sisters, Bonnie Murray and finance' Kelly Durant of Durant ,Oklahoma and Chrystal Holder of Durant, Oklahoma; aunt, Doris Pitts of Preston, Texas; nephew, David Robinson of Durant, Oklahoma; 4 cousins; many step- nieces and nephews. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his father, Charles "Chili" Robinson on July 29, 1985; paternal grandparents, Dude and Beulah Robinson; brother, Donnie; maternal grandparents; Earnest and Ruby May Petty.
Family hour will be from 7–8 P.M. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. Services for Mr. Robinson will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Chapel with Bro. Anthony Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Perry Snow, Dean Mitchell, Donald Rogers, Kelly Durant, Charles Thornton and Tommy Johnson serving as pallbearers.
