Services for Donald Parrott, 72, of Durant who passed away Friday, June 5, 2009, at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 9 at the Dalton-Holmes Chapel. Tommy Wall will officiate.
Donald was born on January 28, 1937, in Woodson, Texas, to Orville H. Parrott and Vera Virginia McBride.
He married Patsy Evans on March 31, 1959, in Durant.
He came to Oklahoma in 1953 from Springer, New Mexico. He was a carpenter and enjoyed fishing.
Donald was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Douglas Parrott.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Nancy Bowen, Durant, Carol Kohler and husband William, Ewing, N.J., and Becky Hightower and husband Phillip, Caddo; sons, Jimmy D. Parrott, Durant, and Billy Parrott, Waurika; brothers Richard Parrott, Indianola, Phillip Parrott, Kenefic, and Jimmy L. Parrott, Las Cruces, New Mexico; granddaughters, Elizabeth Hawthorne and Travis Mauldin, Caddo, Michelle Mize, Durant, Megan Dufur and Casey, Durant, Tanna Hightower, Caddo, Julie Kohler, Ewing, N.J., and Katelyn Neff, Redoak, Texas; grandson, Cole Lambert, Caddo and great-grandson Austin Hawthorne, Caddo.
Pallbearers will be Richard Whitfield, Travis Mauldin, Eddie Evans, Jason Parrott, Dylan Evans, Scottie Parrott and Paul Ford.
Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Armstrong.
Family hour will be Monday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home.
