Mary Ann Dudley a cherished family member and resident of Mead, Oklahoma passed from this earthly life in Denison, Texas on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the age of 65 years 8 months and 23 days. She was born on Wednesday, December 7, 1949 in Durant, Oklahoma to George and Goldie (Tucker) Phillips.
Mary loved working in her vegetable garden growing and gathering the fruits of her labor. She liked going to the lake whenever she could. Mary was a Mrs. Southeastern runner-up in 1968. She enjoyed baking for her family, a good game of bowling, playing the piano and crocheting. She loved her family but especially cherished the time she spent with her beloved granddaughter Tristyn.
Mrs. Dudley is survived by her son, Brandon Wylie of Durant, Oklahoma; daughter, Tamra Wylie of Mead, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Tristyn Hamilton of Mead, Oklahoma; sisters, Jeannie Usry and husband Gerald of Durant, Oklahoma and Shirley LeFlore of Grand Prairie, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members; and companion, Duane Jensen of Mead, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Dudley was preceded in death by her parents, George and Goldie Phillips; sister, Jane Jones; and brother, James Phillips.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6-7:00 PM Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A funeral service in honor of her life will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home with Bro. Monty Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Armstrong. Serving as pallbearers will be Phil Jones, Eric Bryant, Scott Bryant, Kevin Usry, Kyle Usry and Kendall Usry. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Don Phillips and Jackie Phillips.
