Jimmy Dale Avants

March 29, 1949 - November 15, 2024

Jimmy passed November 15th, 2024, in Springfield, MO. He was born to Frank and Mattie Avants on March 29th, 1949, in Durant. Jimmy served in The United States Army and The National Guard a total of 20 years and served about 3 years in Vietnam. Jim was very proud to be a veteran, he 100% believed in freedom for all.

He was processed in death by his mother Mattie Lou Seago Avants, father Frank Avants, four brothers Edgar Avants, Frank Avants JR, Billie Wayne Avants, Bobby Gene Avants, one sister Joyce Avants Polson, son Jimmy Avants JR, son Freddy Ray Anderson, son Charles Gene Anderson. son-in-law Charlie Webb Late wife Pasty Anderson Avants

He is survived by his wife Elena Avants of the home, daughter Brenda Anderson Wilson and husband Randy of Durant. Daughter Belinda Anderson Webb of Calera. Daughter Shirley Anderson of Colbert, son Kevin Avants and wife Keitha DeAnn Avants of Coleman, Tx. Niece/Daughter Billie Voyles of home. Jim had 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, nine great- great- grandchildren, and many nieces & grandchildren, He loved every one of them.

Pallbearers will be nephews William Voyles, Jason Taylor, Preston Miller, great grandchildren, Kobe Anderson, Charley Anderson, and son in law Randall Wilson.

Jim was loved by many and will be greatly missed. His passion was Nascar races on weekends & working on cars.
