Janice Usry Roberts of Bennington, OK was led by Jesus to her heavenly home on July 22, 2021. Mrs. Roberts was born December 21, 1931, in Old Bennington, OK to Woodrow and Mildred Usry. She married Frank Roberts on March 26, 1949. She worked as a seamstress in numerous sewing factories in Bryan County. Later in life she worked as a teacher’s aide in Bennington and Rock Creek grade schools.
Waiting for her in her eternal home are her parents, her husband Frank, brothers Homer Lee Usry, Charles Ray and wife Ruth Usry, sisters Ramola Walker and husband John and Geraldine Usry, brothers-in-law Jess Roberts, and Gerald Roberts, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law Henry and Emma Davis, daughter-in-law, Carolyn Roberts, son-in-law Tim Wright, daughter, Martha Jane Looney, and granddaughter Mindy Kay Roberts.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Don Roberts, and wife Cathy of Silo, OK, Larry Roberts of Colbert, OK, Edward Roberts and wife Vickie of Hugo, OK, David Roberts and wife Lori of Denison, TX, and Idanel Wright of Bennington, OK, sister, Donelda Blanton of Midlothian, TX, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Following a family luncheon at noon at the Old Bennington Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall on Monday July 26, 2021, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Her final earthly resting place will be the Old Bennington Cemetery. Family will welcome friends and loved ones on Sunday July 25, 2021, from 6-8:00 PM at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, OK.
