Johnny Ray Jackson of Durant passed away on October 13, 2020 in Durant at the age of 65. Johnny was born on February 9, 1955 to Glen Melvin and Roma Lou (Gardner) Jackson.

Raised in Bokchito, Johnny was a resident at Oak Ridge Nursing Center where he had many special friends that took great care of him. He was talented at playing the piano because he could play anything he heard. His favorite song to play was Walking to New Orleans. Johnny was of the Presbyterian faith and he dearly loved his family and friends.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Glen and Roma Jackson and brother Larry Glen Jackson.

Johnny is survived by his sisters Glynda Endsley of Kearney, MO, Connie Gaston and husband Junior of Durant and Donna “Charles” Hicks and husband Richard and numerous extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Old Bennington Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Bennington. Pastor Ross Phillips will officiate. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
