Naomi R. Edwards, a resident of Blue, Oklahoma , left this life and joined her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the age of 79 years 7 Months 1 Day, She was born in Bennington, Oklahoma to Lewis and Mary (Dodd) Hampton on September 18, 1938. Naomi married Robert Paul Edward in Bennington, OK. on July 12, 1980. Naomi was a Waitress and Home Maker. She enjoyed her soap operas, garage sales, and loved her dogs, She was a practical joker, Naomi Loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her Daughters Donna Gardner of Norman, Oklahoma, and Angela Watkins of Blue, Oklahoma. Grandchildren James Nicholas Truly and wife Traci of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Steven Christopher Six and wife Alecia of Durant, Oklahoma, Randi Dawn Hardin and husband Brad of Norman, Oklahoma and Courtney Barahona and husband Jaime of Clarksville, Tenn. Great Grandchildren Dylan, Colby and Hunter Hardin all of Norman, Oklahoma, Cason Six and Kata’Leya of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Brittany Leigh-Ann Schafer, Garrett Brett Hans Schafer , Jaden Lee Schafer of Bokchito, Oklahoma. Brother, Bobby Hampton of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Gene Hampton of Durant, Oklahoma. Sister, Linda McWilliams and Husband Tommy of Bennington, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Daughter, Debbie Watkins, Sister, Judy Hampton, Brothers, Jay, Kenneth, Turp Hampton.
Family hour will be from 7-8:00 PM Tuesday April 24th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Chapel service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday April 25st at the Holmes ~ Coffey~ Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma with Rev. Ricky Ring officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Church Cemetery in Bennington, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hampton, Scott Hampton, Kenneth Hampton, Jr, Randall Hampton, Michael Rose, and Brad Hardin.
