Nellie Maxine Anderson of Ada, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years, 11 months, 8 days. She was born February 9, 1948 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Claude (Shorty) and Ethel (Cox) Anderson. Maxine was the youngest of 14 children.
She attended school at Old Church, Bennington. Maxine loved to listen to and play music. Shopping was one of her favorite things to do. Many nieces and nephews were watched over by her careful eyes. Nothing made her happier than pulling an ear or brushing a babies cheek and saying "Sweet, Sweet, Sweet."
Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma. Rev. Charles Williams will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Old Church Pavillion, Bennington, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews. Family hour will be from 7 to 8 PM Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home Durant, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her brothers, Hubert Anderson of Wylie, Texas, Charley Anderson and wife Martha of Fort Worth, Texas, Les Anderson of Tyler, Texas and Butch Anderson and wife Annetta of Garland, Texas; sisters, Jewell Norris and husband Jim of Wylie, Texas, Sally Bowers of Ada, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Sandy Kelso of Caddo, Oklahoma. Numerous nieces and nephews. Important people in her life, Joann, Dodi, Marie, Linda, Glenda, Jeannette, and Mary.
She was preceded in death by her parents Claude (Shorty) and Ethel Anderson; brothers, Robert, Manford, K.G., Ralph, and Mack Anderson; sister, Marie Kelso; brother-in-law, Robert Bowers.
