Lee Ann (Kinsey) Waugh was born Wednesday, September 25th, 1957 in Norman, Oklahoma to parents Bobby Kinsey and Aleta (McCarrell) Kinsey and went into the presence of our Lord on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 from her home in Mead, Oklahoma at the age of 64.
Lee Ann grew up in Norman graduating from Central High School. She married David Waugh on October 4, 1984 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Lee Ann worked as a waitress for several years but mostly a house wife taking care of her husband and kids.
Lee Ann enjoyed watching soap operas, going fishing and taking care of her dog Coco. She loved cooking as her family said she made delicious meatloaf and turkey and dressing. Lee Ann’s passion was the love of her family and helping out when she can. Family was very important to her and desired to spend time with all of them. She attended the Community Christian Church and Mead Baptist Church.
Lee Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Waugh on June 9, 2021; sister, Sherry Kinsey; and nephew, Bobby Bruce Kinsey.
She is survived by her daughters, Cassie Brooks and husband, Donnie, of Mead, OK, Lesa Kinsey and significant other, Eric Matz, of Kansas City, KS, and Angel Waugh and Spencer Northcott of Mead, OK; grandkids, Bobby Brooks and wife Sarah, Tylor Brooks, Devin Degraeve, Alysa Degraeve, and Kaylee Drury; a brother, Steve Yandell and Sherri Prevost of Little Axe, OK; and several great grandkids.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Brown’s Funeral Service chapel in Durant with Bro. Randy Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Mead Cemetery in Mead, Oklahoma with Tylor Brooks, Bobby Brooks, Donnie Brooks, Spencer Northcott, Cassie Brooks and Angel Waugh serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 27, from 5PM to 7PM at Brown’s Funeral Service.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, Durant.
