James Michael Robinson was born on September 8, 1952 in Durant to James Marshall and Beaulah Mae Mock Robinson and went to his heavenly home on August 22, 2015 at the age of 62 years, 11 months and 28 days.

Mike grew up helping his Dad farm, spending many hours in the field.

He graduated from Bokchito High School in 1970 and made his life working in heating and air conditioning. He worked for Murray State College before transferring to Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Mike was always a busy man, he was working his job or in his shop, or on his tractor or four wheeler.

Mike was very proud of his home and was happiest when out mowing or on one of his tractors, never forgetting those farm boy roots. Mike enjoyed helping people, rarely telling anybody "No" when they needed help. Mike didn't always say he cared but he showed people by doing anything he could do to help when asked.

Mike is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sherry Robinson of the home; children, James Timothy Robinson and wife Amy of Dickson, Oklahoma, Michael Shawn Robinson of Caddo, Daylan Shayne Robinson of Mead and Shana Elizabeth Rose and husband T.J. of Caddo; sister, Linda Ingram and husband Mickey of Bokchito; sister in law, Kim Robinson of Bokchito; grandchildren, Haylee Michelle Robinson, Taylor Nicole Robinson, James Tristan Robinson, Michael Tripp, Trent Wayne Robinson, Talon Christopher Rose and Bentley William Pennington; great grandson, Layden Jay Robinson; aunt, Wanda Robinson; nieces, Sherrie McGee and husband Jim, Ashley Robinson and husband Jarret Beagle, Whitney McGee and Karlie and Kashlee Beagle and numerous loving cousins and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Gary "Goob" Robinson.

A celebration of Mike's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 at Silo Baptist Church with Bro. Jackie Robinson officiating.

Interment will follow in Mead Cemetery with cousins, Clyde Wayne Robinson, David Robinson, Donald Robinson, Allan Dean Robinson, Larry Dale Robinson and Sammy Robinson serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service, Durant.
