Margie (Moore) Resz

Margie Resz a precious child of God passed from this life on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at her home in Mead, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years 3 months and 7 days. She was born to George and Iola Mae (Newby) Moore in Arthur, Oklahoma on Monday, March 30, 1931. Margie Moore married Fred Mack Resz in Moore, Oklahoma on Friday, July 10, 1970.

Margie was a member of The Stone Creek Baptist Church and was committed to helping her church grow. She was very active as a young woman and loved to play basketball. Margie enjoyed traveling South during the winter months, sewing, quilting and arts and crafts.

Mrs. Resz is survived by her husband, Fred of the home; daughter, Kay Whitehead and husband Randy of Midwest City, Oklahoma; son, Dan Miller of Arlington, Texas; granddaughter, Checole Early of the Mead home; grandson, Brady Shown of Durant, Oklahoma; great-granddaughter, Torian Roberts of the Mead Home; sister, Hazel Drummond of Wichita, Kansas.

Mrs. Resz was preceded in death by her parents, George and Iola Moore; son, Dale Wayne Miller; sister, Alma Foster; brothers, Jack, John and George Moore.

A Graveside Service in her honor will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Mead Cemetery with Rev. Alvie Thornton officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brady Shown, Kevin Moore, Eric Moore, Rick Drummond, Geoffrey Russell and David Drummond. In leiu of flowers the family suggest that donations be made in Margie's name to the Peggy and Charles Stephenson Cancer Center at cancerresearch@ouhsc.edu.
