Charlotte June (Sheffield) Pierce

August 20, 1961 ~ August 11, 2017

Charlotte June Pierce, a resident of Durant, Oklahoma, entered eternal life on the afternoon of Friday August 11th at the age of 55 years 11 months and 22 days. Charlotte was born August 20, 1961 in Durant, Oklahoma to Billy and Patsy (McDaniel) Sheffield.

Charlotte was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time together as a family. She loved her morning coffee and spending time on the back porch watching wildlife. She had a love for cooking and would often have people over for dinners. This passion led her to work as a cafeteria cook and manager for the Durant Public Schools for nearly 25 years. Charlotte loved being able to see her grandsons each day and serve them lunch. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved her pecan trees.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Jerry Pierce of the home; son, Jesse Pierce and wife Niki of Durant, Oklahoma; grandsons, Jaxson and Greysyn Pierce of Durant, Oklahoma; father, Billy Sheffield and; brother, Donald Sheffield of Fort Worth, Texas; she is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy McDaniel; and grandparents, Albert and Ethel Kropp.

Family Hour will be from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Monday August 14th at Holmes~ Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday August 15th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel with Bro. Kerry Groce officiating.

Interment will follow at Mead Cemetery in Mead, Oklahoma. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
