Mary Sherrell Olson of Durant, Ok., passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014, in Durant, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years, 8 months, 27 days.
She was born Wednesday, July 27, 1932, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and then at the age of 4 she was adopted by Henry and Bertha (Whitwell) Jackson.
Mrs. Olson was a member of the Mead Baptist Church in Mead, Oklahoma. Mary loved music, dand playing the piano. She retired from the Stanislaus County Library and served as a Reverend with the Christian Science Church. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her son John Henry Grigg of Mead, Oklahoma, daughter Sue McClour and husband Willis of Mead, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Becky Maxwell, Nathan Combrink, Melissa Combrink, Hezra Moore , Joseph McClour, Jason Watts and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mrs Olson was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Bertha Jackson, Daughters: Joanne Combrink and Sharon Watts , and Son-In-Law: Clarence Watts.
Family will receive friends from 7:00~8:00 p.m. Friday April 25, 2014 at the Homles~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home .
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Mead Baptist Church with Bro. Kerry Groce officiating.
Interment will follow at Mead Cemetery in Mead, Oklahoma.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph McClour, Daniel Moore, Riley Moore and Elijah Moore.
