Doyle Moore of Durant, OK passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in Denison, TX at the age of 80. Doyle was born on February 2, 1940 in Atoka, OK to Earnest B. and Edna P. (Hunt) Moore.
Doyle proudly served his Country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and retired from the United States Army Reserve after a total of 32 years. He served as a police officer for the city of Atoka, Atoka Co. Sheriff’s Office, Atoka Lake Patrol and was Chief of Murray State College until his retirement. He was a member of the DAV and American Legion. He enjoyed watching chickens, fishing, watching rodeos and boxing and dancing. He deeply loved his family and treasured his friends.
Doyle was preceded in death by his parents and sons Roger Dean and Earnest Moore.
Doyle is survived by his wife Candice (Cline) Moore of the home; children Rickey Doyle Moore and wife Sherry, Rebecca Ann Hood and husband Robin, Robert Glenn Moore and wife Sarah, Luke Timothy Valentine and wife Heather, Shira Lynn Riley and husband Michael, Amy Jo Hernandez and husband Ulises and Daniel Paul McClain; brother Billy Joe Moore and wife Alice; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Danny Maples will officiate. Interment will follow in Mead Cemetery
