Services for Anna Mae Pearson MacEntire, 89, of Calera, Oklahoma who passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Calera Manor Nursing Home with her family by her side, will be held Friday, August 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Community Christian Church. Rev. Jim Hodson will officiate.
Anna was born May 21, 1919, in Dallas to Thomas Edley and Agnes Mae Harrall Pearson.
She attended and graduated from Denton High School and later married J. B. Reece November 23, 1938. After J. B.'s death, she married Thomas O. MacEntire June 13, 1959.
In June of 1964, she moved to Bryan County from Farmington.
She was a member of Community Christian Church, Red River Writers Club and Mead Home Extension. She enjoyed sewing, canning, antiquing, geneology, and writing. Anna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Edley and Agnes Pearson; husbands, J. B. Reece and Tom MacEntire and grandson Jay Bryan Reece.
Left to cherish her memory her are son, Gary Reece and wife Maxine of Springer; son, Bart Reece and wife Margie of Calera, Okla.; son, Tom MacEntire and wife Brenda of Durant, Okla.; daughter, Kathy MacEntire of Noble, Okla.; son, Tim MacEntire and wife Nancy of Mead, Okla.; daughter, Mary Rawls and husband Bob of Mead, Okla.; son, David MacEntire of Noble, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Interment will be in Mead Cemetery with Gary Reece, Bart Reece, Tom MacEntire, Tim MacEntire, David MacEntire, and Bob Rawls serving as pallbearers.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday. Brown's Durant Funeral Service is handling the arrangements.
