Gary Morris Kiser was born January 22, 1941, in Mead, OK to Clinton and Margaret Kiser. He passed away December 21, 2010, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK.
Gary liked baling hay and working on his tractors in his shop in Mead. He attended Mead High School and was in the National Guard from 1962 – 1969. He had been a member of the Elks Lodge in past years. He owned Gary’s Appliance and Repair for about 10 years, but for health reasons he had to retire. He loved being with his family and dearly loved his grandchildren.
He married Charla Mackey on May 20, 1966, in Durant, OK. He was preceded in death by his father Clinton Kiser of Mead, OK, and his sister Linda Sue Bullard of Cleburne, TX.
Survivors are Charla Kiser of Durant, OK; mother Margaret Kiser of Mead, OK; son Cary Kiser and wife Amanda, of Bentonville, AR; daughter Celinda Garner and husband Jim of Durant, OK; grandchildren Kailey, Kendall, Carson, Carlea, and Cale Garner all of Durant, OK, and Miranda Kiser of Tulsa, OK; great-grandchildren KeShawn and Khandi Smith of Durant, OK; sister Dolores Martin and husband Charles of Nacogdoches, TX; brother-in-laws Doug Bullard of Cleburne, TX, Ronnie Mackey, Rick Mackey and Kevin Mackey both of Durant, OK; three nephews and two nieces.
Services will be Monday, December 27, at 2:00pm at Mead Baptist Church in Mead, OK. Burial will follow at Mead Cemetery. Bro. Kerry Groce and Bro. Darrell Edwards will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Kendall Garner, Johnny Pucket, Dale Knowles, Nathan “Slick” Daniels, A. G. Alexander, Clint Mefford, and Mark Mefford. Honorary pallbearers will be James Serner, Terry Mefford, and Billy Dean Huddleston.
