Graveside Services for Gerald Clyde Joyce (57) of Durant, Oklahoma will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2010, At the Mead Cemetery with Rev. Paul Harvey Holmes officiating. Family Hour will be 3:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home.
Gerald Clyde Joyce Jr. passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 in Durant, Oklahoma, at the age of 57 years, 4 months, 2 days. He was born Friday, August 14, 1953 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Gerald Clyde & Mary Ann Sturm Joyce Sr. He married Mary Lynn Tubbs April 18, 1994 in Morris, Oklahoma.
Mr Joyce was a member of the Baptist faith. Gerald enjoyed going fishing, read Louis LeMore books and watching John Wayne westerns, his favorite past-time was just being outdoors. Gerald loved his family and they loved him and they will miss his quick wit and smile.
He is survived by his Wife Mary Lynn Joyce of the home, daughter Crystal Dawn Joyce of Telephone, Texas, sons Ron Merchberger Jr. of Dublin, Virginia, James Merchberger and wife Wendy of Durant, Oklahoma, mother Mary Ann Joyce of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, sisters Debbie Hanks of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Vickie Paskel of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, brothers John Joyce of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Roy Joyce of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Jack Joyce of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Don Joyce of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Ron Joyce of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and nine Grandchildren.
Gerald was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Clyde Joyce Sr.
