Mary Evelyn Dorr was born at home to Raymond and Jewel Lorance on March 21st, 1935, in Caddo, Oklahoma. She married Weldon Brewer from Kenefic, Oklahoma in 1952. They had three children, Nancy Brewer MacEntire, Tony Weldon Brewer, and James Roy Brewer. They moved to California in 1957 where Mary worked multiple jobs to help support the family, including Hunts canning factory and a commercial chicken farm. They returned to the Durant area in 1968. She married the love of her life, Bobby Lee Dorr in February of 1978, raising another child, Ginger Dorr Samuels. Having lost Bobby in 1987, she lived independently the rest of her life in Durant. As the matriarch of her family, faith and family were the cornerstones of her life. Her priorities were evident in the daily reading of her Bible and her constant and unwavering support of her children and family. One of her favorite pastimes was Friday Girl's Lunch, complete with Sherrer's Burgers or Asian Gourmet, competitive games of Farkle, and plenty of laughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Jewel Lorance, brother Raymond Lorance, brother Billy Lorance, sister Helen Ruth Lorance McGuire, sister Peggy Lorance Elder, sister Jodie Lorance Wilks, sister Bobbie Lorance Taylor, son Tony Weldon Brewer, husband Bobby Lee Dorr.
She is survived by daughter Nancy Brewer MacEntire and husband Timothy MacEntire, son James Brewer and wife Debbie Brewer, sister Loretta Lorance McWhorter and husband Bill McWhorter, sister Barbara Lorance Alexander, and faithful companion Bill Graham. She is survived by a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
