Jim W. ClineJim W. Cline was born on Monday, November 4, 1918 in Summerfield, Oklahoma to Rosco Delbert and Lizzie Bell (Lay) and passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years, 2 months and 13 days. Jim entered the United States Army on October 17, 1941 and served his country in World War II earning a Bronze Star and several other medals and accommodations and was Honorably Discharged on December 9, 1945.

Jim married Leva Alene Hatter on January 14, 1949 in Denison, TX and they moved with their family to Bryan County in 1971 from Talihina, OK.

Jim was a mechanic for most of his life and later owned a grocery store in Mead for three years. Jim was of the Assembly of God Faith and he enjoyed gardening, fishing and going to auctions.

Jim is survived by his son Gary Cline and wife Carolyn of Duncan, OK; daughter Candice Moore and husband Doyle of Durant, OK; sister Ester Nuner and husband Charles of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren Gary Lee Cline II, Alex Cline and wife Heather, Luke Valentine and wife Heather, Shira Riley and husband Michael, Amy Hernandez and husband Ulises and Daniel McClain; 3 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers Leon, Troy and Wesley Colvin; sisters Helen Kirby, Ellen Smith Lila Rafdale and Anna Loyce Jackson.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Browns Funeral Service Chapel. Bro. Leon Haas will officiate. Interment will follow in Mead Cemetery with Gary Lee Cline II, Alex Cline, Luke Valentine, Daniel McClain, Michael Riley and Ulises Hernandez serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral on Thursday from 1-2 PM.

Services for Alene Cline, 85, of Durant who passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2009 in Durant will be held Wednesday, June 24th, 10:00 AM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Leon Haas will officiate. Burial will be in Mead Cemetery.

Alene was born June 4, 1924 in Battiest, Oklahoma to Samuel Wite and Mary Emma Miller Hatter. She graduated from Battiest Public School and later married Jim W. Cline on January 14, 1949 in Sherman, Texas. Alene was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith and she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, needlepoint, quilting and spending time with family and friends. Alene will be greatly missed by all who knew and dearly loved her.

Alene was preceded in death by her parents; 5 sisters; and 1 brother.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Jim W. Cline of the home; son, Gary Cline and wife Carolyn of Duncan, Ok; daughter, Candy Moore and husband Doyle of Talihina, Ok; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and other relatives and a host of dear and loved friends.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home tonight from 6-8 PM.
