Arlie Ruel Ash a resident of Mead, Oklahoma passed away in Bonham, Texas on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the age of 92 years 2 months and 19 days. He was born in Mead, Oklahoma on Friday, November 11, 1921 to Hershel and Mossie (Jones) Ash. Arlie married Frances Lavern Stuart in 1956.
Arlie was a truck driver, and he enjoyed fishing. He also loved to play the guitar and work on mechanical things.
Mr. Ash is survived by his daughter, Anita Eskes of Farmington, Arkansas; son, Arley "Bud" Ash of Mead, Oklahoma; sister, Ruby Jean Hyer of Hemet, California and Reita McIntire of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Jim Ash of Lincoln, Arkansas; wife, Frances Laverne Ash of Honey Grove, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ash was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Mossie Ash; brother, Kenny Ash; sisters, Dorothy Leeper and Fay Hyer; daughter, June Clark.
Family Hour will be from 3-4:00 PM Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Mead Cemetery with Bro. Kerry officiating.
