Kennith Wayne Turner of Bokchito, OK passed away on October 11, 2020 in Talihina, OK at the age of 83. Kennith was born on July 31, 1937 in Matoy to Jasper W. and Laura B. (Harrison) Turner.

After attending school Kennith proudly served his Country in the United States Army from 1957-1961 until his Honorable Discharge. He was stationed in the Marshall Islands during Operation Hard Tack overseeing nuclear observations. Kennith returned home to Bokchito and later married Betty Leona Turner who preceded him in death in 2005. Kennith was a farmer, rancher, a Choctaw Veteran and a truck driver and retired after 30 years of service.

Kennith was preceded in death by his wife Betty Leona Turner and parents Jasper and Laura (Bea) Turner.

Kennith is survived by his children Georgia Turner-Stewart, Michelle Heil and husband Aaron, Kennith Turner Jr and Cleta Turner and significant other Ed Smalle; grandchildren Melissa, Rebecca, Nathan, Sarah and Aaron Jr; great grandchildren Paisleigh, Alyssa, Jimmy, David, Blayne, Kaidynce and Airryk; brothers Joe Turner, Jackie Turner, Richard Turner and Doug Turner and numerous extended family and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 16, 2020 at Brown’s Funeral Service. Pastor Philip Rowland will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be in Matoy Cemetery with Nathan Turner, Aaron Heil Jr., John Thomas, Ronnie Turner, Michael Medina Jr. and Casey Joe Robinson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
