Nancy Lorene (Lockaby) Waitman 86, of Kemp, Oklahoma was born north of Windom, Texas on Judge Leslie’s ranch to Willis and Annie Lee (French) Lockaby on October 5, 1936. She was a 1955 Graduate of Bonham High School. In 1957 she received her Cosmetology license from Sherman Beauty School. On July 10, 1959 Nancy and Sam Waitman were married at Sherman Church of the Nazarene. She was Baptized at Central Baptist Church in Sherman in August of 1959. Nancy and Sam has lived in Kemp since 1961 and are members of the Kemp Baptist Church. Nancy retired from Johnson & Johnson after 33 years of service.
Preceding her in death are her Mother Ann Ross and Step-Father Clyde. Father Willis Lockaby and Step-Mother Pauline. Brothers Gene and Richard Lockaby. Mother and Father-in-Law Willie and A.P. Waitman. Sister-in-Laws Tywla Bohannan and Betty Flavin and Brother-in-Law Patrick Flavin. Brothers-in-Law R.C. Waitman and wife Claudine, Dave Kuneman and Earl Smith all of Kemp, OK. Sister Sandra Ross and Step-Brothers Jimmy and Henry Underwood and Sister-In-Law Debbie.
Surviving are her Husband Sam and Jason Manry , Makayla and Karah Manry. Sister Donna Otleraski and husband Tommy. Sister-in-Law Jean Lockaby all of Kemp, OK. Step-Brother Jackie Underwood and wife Mary Kay of Ravenna, TX. Sister-in-Laws Wanda Cooper and Mary Kuneman and Brother-in-Laws Robert Waitman of Kemp, OK and Donald Bohannan of Denison, TX.
At her request there will be no family night . A Graveside Service for Nancy Lorene Waitman will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning October 26, 2022 in the Kemp Cemetery with Pastor Roger Speers of the Kemp Baptist Church officiating with burial to follow.
