Rhonda Hartline Owen, 57, died Monday July 22, 2024 after a 5 year battle with cancer. Rhonda spent her last days at the home of her parents in Denison,TX. She was born January 12, 1967 at Madonna Hospital in Denison, the daughter of Calvin Hartline and Carolyn Stringer. Rhonda graduated from Colbert High School, Class of 1985. Following graduation, she attended Grayson County College where she earned an Associates Degree in Drafting. Rhonda then went to work for the Department of Transportation in Sherman, TX for 10 years. However, she was known by most for her work at "the cafe" in Colbert, OK.
Rhonda liked to grow flowers and work in her yard. She liked gardening and she might have even been seen on the lake with a fishing pole in hand. She was brought a lot of joy by her three "fur-babies," Rowdy, Sassy and Lucy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Hartline and grandparents, Dewey and Estelle Hartline. She is survived by her mother and her husband, Carolyn and Kent Stringer of Denison, her children, Randall Hartline, Jeffrey Willyerd and Shayla Willyerd of Blue, Oklahoma. She is survived by her siblings: Valorie Stringer Mast and her husband Ron Mast of Denison, Matt Stringer and his wife Wendy Watkins Stringer of Gainesville and Shane Hartline of Colbert; Grandkids, Jeffrey Clay and Calvin Willyerd, Bentley Reed, Makaila and Bella Hartline, Talaya Guess and Mandalyn Reed.
A time of visitation will be Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 9:00-10:00am at Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, with the funeral led by Brother Joe Beshirs to follow from 10:00-11:000am. The burial will follow and be held at Kemp Cemetary in Kemp, Oklahoma. There will be a small reception at the Kemp School from 12:00-1:00pm in Kemp, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Richard Chastain, Nickey Thomas, Kenny Thomas, Jason Thomson, Jessie Cook, Jason Hooper and Terry Stowers. The register book may be signed and condolences sent to the family online @ cunninghamfuneralhomesok.com Arrangements are entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Oklahoma
