Damon Scott McAlister age 42 of Sherman, Texas passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024 at the Focused Care Center in Sherman, TX. He was born on September 18, 1982 in Denison, TX. Scotty was a beloved musician who loved his guitar dearly.

Precededing him in death are his Parents Tommy and Carolyn McAlister and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

He is survived by one Brother Wesley McAlister of Kemp, OK. Three Sisters Lori McAlister and husband Luther from Kemp, OK. Tracy Whitley and husband Tommy from Kemp, OK. and Kelli Maestas and husband Ryan from Sherman, TX. Scotty did not have any biological Children of his own But his Nieces, Nephews, and Great Nieces and Great Nephews were like his own. Scotty has two Nephews Corey McAlister and wife Brea from Calera, OK. and Tyler McAlister from Kemp, OK. He has Six Nieces Hayley Maness and husband Lance from Roxton, TX. Katelyn Todd from Durant, OK. Kristin Horn of Mead, OK. Cassidy Horn from Durant, OK. Ryli Maestas and Kenzi Maestas from Sherman, TX. A Graveside

Service for Damon "Scotty" McAlister will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon September 28, 2024 at the Kemp Cemetery in Kemp, OK. with Pastor Roger Speers officiating. Pallbearers will be Corey McAlister, Tyler McAlister, David Johnson, Randall Carter, Jim Rose and Mark Miller. Honorary Pallbearer will be Tony Garcia.

Family night will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday evening at the Funeral Home.

We wouyld like to thank David Johnson for going above and beyond for loving and supporting our Brother. We would like to also express our graditude to Suzanne of Heart to Heart Hospice and Focused Care of Sherman, TX. for the exceptional care for our loved one.

In Lieu of flowers please make any monetary donation for funeral expenses to Cunningham Funeral Home.
