Christy Hawks, a beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister , left this life too soon on Wednesday September 25, 2019 at the age of 39. Family hour will be from 3-4:00 PM Sunday September 29, 2019 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Monday September 30, 2019 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel with Bro. Roger Speers officiating. Christy's final resting place will be at the Kemp Cemetery in Kemp, Oklahoma with Father, Mike Embry, Husband, Bobby Hawks, Brother, Michael Embry Jr. and Brother-in-Law, Jeremy Winnett as her pallbearers.
Christy loved taking care of her home and family. She enjoyed Halloween and making candles and getting her nails done at the salon. Christy cherished her children. Christy was a graduate of Achille High School, after school she received her degree in Nursing at Grayson County College and later became a Traveling Nurse of which she enjoyed greatly.
Mrs. Hawks is survived by her husband, Bobby Hawks, children, Dylan, Nathan, Kierra, and Logan all of the home: parents, Mike and Brenda Embry of Liberty, Oklahoma: sister, Jennifer Winnett and husband Jeremy of Colbert, Oklahoma: brother, Michael Embry, Jr. and wife Charlene of Durant, Oklahoma: grandmother, Norma Embry of Denison, Texas: and also survived by her mother-in-law, Mary Elise Hawks of Belcher, Louisiana. Brother in Laws, Beau Hawks of Louisiana and Jon Hawks and wife Vicki of Texarkana, Texas. Niece, Sarah Winnett of Durant, Ok. Nephews Will and Chase Winnett of Colbert, Ok.
Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Henry and Wilma Jones and Teddy Embry, along with father-in-law, John Hawks.
