A service for N. L. "Pete" Clark, 83, who died Monday, April 5, 2004, at Wilson N. Jones Memorial Hospital, Sherman, Texas, will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, at Coffey-Murray Funeral Chapel. Bro. Jan Kelley will officiate.

He was born Saturday, February 5, 1921, to Norman and Anna Mae Thaxton Clark in Kemp.

He was a lifelong resident of Bryan County and spending time with his family was his greatest love.

He loved to just get in his truck and check on the cattle and property.

He was a recent recipient of his 50 year Masonic pin.

He was a member of the Church of Christ faith, Masonic and Elk Lodges. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Bryan County Soil Conservation Service.

He served for more than 20 years as Bryan County Committeeman of Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service.

He was a graduate of Kemp High school and was a retired rancher and farmer after over 40 years.

He married Shirley Coker Webb February 14, 2000, in Liberty.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Grace Steelman Clark, March 30, 1998; daughter, Diane Clark, 1968 and brother, Billy Kenneth Clark.

He is survived by his wife of the home; sons, Ronnie Clark and wife Katie, and Rex Clark, all of Kemp ; granddaughters, Leslie Clark and Shelby Clark, both of Kemp ; grandsons, Tyler Clark and Austin Clark, both of Cartwright; and sisters, Oleta Staton, Yuba, and Mary Chambers Lindsay and husband J.K. of Tahlequah.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Clark, Rex Clark, Tyler Clark, Vern Steelman, Tommy Steelman and Larry Steelman.

Burial will be at Kemp Cemetery with pallbearers Ronnie Clark, Rex Clark, Tyler Clark, Vern Steelman, Tommy Steelman and Larry Steelman. Masonic gravesite rites will be performed by Achille Masonic Lodge.

Family hour is 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. today.

Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
