Phillis Elaine Blankenship 72, of Hendrix, Oklahoma was welcomed in the arms of Jesus on Tuesday October 6, 2020 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. She was born December 26, 1947 in Erath County, Texas to Ace and Vonnie Brummett Richardson. She attended Kemp, Oklahoma schools and was a longtime member of the Kemp Baptist Church. She married James Blankenship December 30, 1965 in Denison, Texas and he preceded her in death November 15, 2008
Phillis worked for Redpath Apparel Group and most recently she worked at Achille Public School. She enjoyed working at the school and seeing the Children each day.
Phillis was also preceded in death by Brothers James, Sonny, Elvis and Ernest Richardson and Sister Nina Bounds.
Surviving are Daughters Amy Manry and husband Larry, Lora Stanglin and husband Gary and Christi Blankenship and wife Lisbet. Grandchildren Chance and Brooke Sinor, Logan and Sarah Sinor, Jorgia and Donnie Wood, Dakota and Evon Stanglin, Madison Stanglin and Makynlee Malone. Great Grandchildren Jett, Lawson and Saylor Sinor, Christian and Ace Sinor, Dempsey and Jan Wood and Paisleigh Russell. Sisters Patricia Garvin and husband Paul and Clara Richardson. Brother Edwin Richardson. Numerous Nieces and Nephews and special Friend Terry Terrell.
A Celebration of LIfe for Phillis Elaine Blankenship will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning October 9, 2020 at the Kemp Baptist Church with John Branch officiating. Burial will follow in the Kemp Cemetery.
The Family night will be held from 6-8 Thursday evening at the Church.
