Leslie Dewayne "Moe" Blankenship a resident of Hendrix, Oklahoma passed away in Denison, Texas on Monday, March 25, 2013 at the age of 64 years 6 months and 17 days. He was born in Liberty, Oklahoma on Wednesday, September 8, 1948 to Earnest and Mary (Boehme) Blankenship. Leslie married Paulette Riley on Thursday, December 15, 1966 in Carpenters Bluff, Texas. Moe served his country proudly in the United States Army.

He worked at Napa Auto Parts in Dension, Texas and gave up the auto world to enjoy his retirement this last year. Moe always enjoyed watching basketball and baseball and was a big Texas Ranger Baseball fan. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed help.

Mr. Blankenship is survived by his wife, Paulette of the home; sisters, Treva Traylor and husband Tommy of Dallas, Texas and Patsy Schindler and husband James of Denison, Texas; brother, Jerry Blankenship and wife Sandy of Frisco, Texas; brother-in-laws, L.C. Wesberry of Hendrix, Oklahoma and J.C. Riley and wife Carol of Bracketville, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Blankenship was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Mary Blankenship.

Family Hour will be from 6-7:00 PM Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Funeral Service in his memory will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel in Durant with Bro. Ken Womack officiating. Interment will follow at Kemp Cemetery in Kemp, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Stacy Pebbles, Gary Capshaw, Brian Logan, Randy Stone, Michael Schindler and Charles Williams.
