Kay Anders of Achille, Oklahoma passed from this life on November 9, 2022. She was born October 21, 1944, in Hendrix, Oklahoma to Virgil Lucien and Mary Katherine (Little) Davis. Kay married Harold Ray Anders on January 21, 1966, in Durant, Oklahoma.
She retired from Achille schools after 40 years as a beloved and respected teacher. She was a charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma International, involved in several Chickasaw Nation activities, and she loved to travel. Kay was a member of the Church of Christ.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Harold Anders of Achille, Oklahoma, sisters Geraldine Kennedy of Calera, Oklahoma, Paula Clark and husband Art of Sherman, Texas, and Jeannie Davis of Sherman, Texas, nieces and nephews Toni Kennedy, Tonya Kennedy, Jeffery Davis, and Brandon Davis. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents Lucien and Katherine Davis.
Family Hour is scheduled from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2022, at Kemp Church of Christ in Kemp, Oklahoma. Her funeral service is set to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Jan Kelley officiating. Kay will be laid to rest at Kemp Cemetery following the funeral service.
