Harmon Clifford Sample

Harmon Clifford Sample was born Saturday, September 21, 1940 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Oscar and Christine (Williams) Sample. He passed from this life Sunday, October 11, 2009 in Durant, Oklahoma, at the age of 69 years and 20 days.

Harmon loved to go to the deer woods and fishing with his family. Harmon loved everyone and had never met a stranger. He was also a big fan of Elvis and collected all kinds of Elvis Memorabilia and loved to dance.

Harmon is survived by his sisters, Dahlila Houston of the home, Patsy Peavler & husband Tom of Irving, Texas, brothers, Donald Sample & wife Evelyn of Irving, Texas, Robert Sample & Sandy Warren of Kemp, Texas, special nieces who helped care for him, Donna Hawks of the home and Tiffany Tarr of Irving, Texas. Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Harmon was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Christine Sample; brother, Johnny Mack Sample; sister, Mary Ellen Wall.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Bennington First Baptist Church Bennington, Oklahoma, Roger Speers will Officiate. Serving as pallbearers, Wayne Sample, Don Titsworth, Kevin Bankston, Jerry Heflin, Kasey Smith, James Heflin, Jerry Don Smith and Randy Sample. Internment will follow at the Jackson Cemetery, Bennington, Oklahoma.

Family hour will be Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 7-8 P.M. at the Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.
