Ray L. Reynolds a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the age of 76 years and 28 days. He was born in Bokchito, Oklahoma to Fred Elton and Fannie (Haulk) Reynolds on Saturday, May 8, 1937. Ray was a member of the Baptist faith.

He retired from the City of Durant Water Department. He had a loving heart towards dogs. Ray took care of his own dogs, but he also picked up abandoned dogs then he took them to the vet so he could nurse them back to health. He also enjoyed listening to country music.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his brothers, Dr. Grover Reynolds of Red Oak, Oklahoma and George Reynolds and wife Ruthie of Bennington, Oklahoma; sister, Marietta Allen of Albany, Oklahoma; 3 nieces and 1 nephew.,/p>

Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Fannie Reynolds; brothers, W.C. and James A. Reynolds.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma with Rev. Dan McLemore officiating. Interment will follow at the Jackson Cemetery in Bennington.
