James Arvin Reynolds was born on Sunday,September 20,1931 in Bokchito,Oklahoma to Fred E. and Fannie (Hauk) Reynolds. He went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday,February 17,2009 in Dallas,Texas at the age of 77 years,4 months and 27 days. James married Leona Babb on November 16,1956 in Bokchito, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army in Korea and Japan.
Mr. Reynolds was a Carpenter, he also worked for James Bates and Parker Mitchell Heating and Air James was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bokchito for 53 years. He enjoyed bicycle riding.
His Family Includes,Wife,Leona Reynolds of the home, Son, James Eldon Reynolds and wife, Charlott,of Mead,Oklahoma Daugther,Delores Fay Blackwell and husband,Benny, of Howe, Texas,Brothers,George Reynolds of Bennington,Oklahoma,Ray Reynolds of Durant,Oklahoma,Dr. Grover Reynolds of Red Oak,Oklahoma Sister,Marietta Allen of Albany, Oklahoma,13 Grandchildren,6 Great Grandchildren,Great Granddaughter he loved,Jasmine Elise Reynolds, who was born on June 28, 2008 and Great Granddaughter due in March. A Host of other Relatives and Friends.
Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his Parents,Fred and Fannie Reynolds, Brother, W. C. Reynolds, Half-Brother,Tom Horn, and Half Sister, Gladys Moles.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday,February 20, 2009 First Baptist Church in Bokchito, Oklahoma. Officiating the service will be Rev. Preston Burns and Rev.Landon Jestis. Pallbearers for the service, James Green,Jerry Fuller,Alan Cartwright,Ross Phillips,Scott Robinson,Tony VanSchuyver Honorary Pallbearers,Ronnie Pope, Doyle Harrell,Doug Deel, Jim Coe, Judge Jeffreys. Interment will be at the Jackson Cemetery,Bennington, Oklahoma.
