Ruthie Lee Titsworth Reynolds

December 26, 1937 - January 24, 2026

Ruthie Lee Reynolds, formerly of Bennington, Oklahoma passed peacefully on January 24, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born on December 26, 1937 in Bennington, Oklahoma to William "Bill" and Myrtle (McIntyre) Titsworth. She was one of 13 children, so she had a full and colorful life.

On December 21, 1955, she married George Reynolds in Sherman, Texas. She followed him off and on throughout his Navy career, finally settling back in Bennington, where she was a homemaker. She loved to sew, and gave away many a quilts. Cooking was something she enjoyed, especially during the holidays for her family. She was known for her pies and homemade candy. Her all-time favorite was her trips to the casino with her girls.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Patak and husband Melvin of Ennis, Texas, and Teresa Shoemake of Sanger, Texas; one sister Foye Curtis of Bennington; sisters-in-law Judy Titsworth and Delores Titsworth of Bennington, and Brenda Titsworth of Bonham, Texas; brothers-in-law Roger Nichols of Ravenna, Texas and Larry Blain of Savoy, Texas; in addition to many nieces and newphews.

Her legacy lives on with her five grandchildren: Jacob Shoemake of Runaway Bay, Texas, William Post of Corpus Christi, Texas, Amanda Buffington of Sanger, Texas, Torie Reynolds of Denison, Texas, and Henry Allen of Durant, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren Kayley Aland, Adriana Shoemake, Josh Shoemake, Mattie Shoemake, Emily Post, Katherine Post, Carson Allen, and Hudson Buffington; and two great-great-grandchildren Paisley Shoemake and Noah Kyle.

Those preceding her in death are her parents Bill and Myrtle Titsworth, her husband George Reynolds, two sons William Fred Reynolds and Tommy Lee Allen, brothers Billy Ray, William "Rubber" Quinn, Wayne, Don, Larry, Darrell, and Johnny; sisters Elba Knight, Kay Blain, and Joy Nichols.

Family Hour and Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, with a message of comfort by Bro. Ross Phillips. Ruthie will be laid to rest at the Jackson Cemetery in Bennington, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will include Ricky Knight, Jacob Shoemake, Kelly Titsworth, Matt Titsworth, Jimmy Noland, and Glendall Noland.

Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Jackson Cemetery in honor of Ruthie in care of
