Lifelong resident of Bennington, Oklahoma, Johnny Cleveland Dosh, Jr. went home to be with the Lord at the age of 61 years 11 months and 3 days on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at his home. He was born on Saturday, September 24, 1949 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Johnny Sr. and Earline (Jackson) Dosh. Johnny married Peggy Fox on Saturday, August 10, 1974 in Bokchito, Oklahoma. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany and Vietnam.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Peggy Dosh, of the home; daughters, Charity Robison and husband of Calera, Oklahoma, April Asselin and husband of Kingman, Arizona, and son, Johnny Dosh III of Alva, Oklahoma; four beautiful and precious granddaughters he loved and enjoyed very much, Tabitha, Kharlie, Karman and Paige; sisters, Judy Titsworth and husband Quinn of Bonham, Texas, Ann Bishop of Bonham, Texas, Kay Robison of Bennington, Oklahoma and Jolene Hvamstead and husband Chuck of Atoka, Oklahoma; brother, Tommy Dosh of Bennington, Oklahoma; brothers-in-law, Gary Robison and Rodney Andrews; and numerous nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
Johnny will be greatly missed. He was a caring, loving, honest, hard working man who truly loved his family. He loved to spoil all of them even more.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents,Johnny Sr. and Earline Dosh. Family Hour will be Tuesday, August 30 from 7-8:00 P.M. at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, Bennington, Oklahoma with Rev. Heath Murray officiating. Internment will follow at the Jackson Cemetery in Bennington, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Stowe, Jeff Stowe, Mark Fox, Mike Titsworth, Matt Titsworth, Andy Robison, Brandon Dosh and Jeff Dosh.
