Carol West, a precious soul, left this life and joined her beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 13, 2020 at the age of 77. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma on October 31, 1943 to James Hubert Lee and Bertha (Bates) Lee. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday November 16th at the Highland Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Marilyn West officiating. Services will be available for viewing via live stream on our FB page.

Carol dedicated her life to caring for her home and family. She loved helping her friends, but especially loved helping her parents James and Bertha Lee on the farm picking fruit and selling it. Carol had a talent for writing poetry for which she won three awards, and had her poems published, this made her extremely proud. Her greatest joy was accepting the Lord in 1976 and received the Holy Ghost. Carol Ann’s teachers in elementary school told her mom that she could learn but all she really wanted to do was watch birds out of the school windows. She loved helping people and was always trying to make others feel good about themselves.

Mrs. West is survived by three children, Stanley, Monica and Kim; by her five precious grandchildren; Michelle, Trever, Ryan, Kasey and Beth and 4 great grandchildren; Hailey, Trenton, Samora and Nolan.

Mrs. West was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bertha Lee, a baby brother, James Alvin Lee, and sisters, Mary, Leona, Ellen and the father of her children Hubert West and son, Byron.

Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma www.holmescoffeymurray.com
